GamerTech ChatBot ("we", "our", or "us") operates a Shopify chatbot application that enables merchants to provide AI-powered customer support on their stores and via social media channels (Facebook, Instagram).

Information We Collect

• Merchant data: Shopify store domain, shop name, and configuration settings.
• Customer messages: Chat messages sent through the widget or Facebook/Instagram Messenger, stored to provide conversation history and AI responses.
• Contact information: Names and identifiers provided during chat sessions.
• Facebook/Instagram data: Page access tokens and page IDs when merchants connect their social accounts via OAuth.

How We Use Information

• To provide AI-powered chat responses to customer queries.
• To enable merchants to manage customer conversations through our dashboard.
• To send and receive messages via Facebook Messenger and Instagram on behalf of connected pages.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g., sending messages via Meta's Graph API) or as required by law.

Data Retention

Conversation data is retained for as long as the merchant's account is active. Merchants may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us or uninstalling the app.

Facebook/Instagram Permissions

When merchants connect their Facebook or Instagram pages, we request the following permissions: pages_messaging, pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_metadata, instagram_basic, instagram_manage_messages. These are used solely to send and receive messages on the merchant's behalf.
